The SOF International Social Studies Olympiad (ISSO) is a prestigious competition that challenges students to showcase their knowledge and skills in various areas of Social Studies. The exam pattern consists of multiple-choice questions and problem-solving tasks to assess Social Studies aptitude. The syllabus covers a variety of topics including but not limited to power sharing and federalism, globalization and industrialization, lifelines of national economy, money and credit. Participants must apply theoretical knowledge to solve real-world problems and think critically about complex problems. For classes 3rd to 4th, there are 35 questions worth a total of 40 marks, while for classes 5th to 10th, there are 50 questions worth a total of 60 marks. Practicing with ISSO sample papers and ISSO Olympiad books will help in effectively acing the exam.
