The following cut off marks are applicable for determining qualifiers to the 2nd level of SOF IMO.
The cut off marks are class wise. In case more than one student score same total marks, marks obtained section wise are considered to determine qualifiers to the 2nd level. Weightage is given to sections in the following order:

The above cut-off marks are applicable to determine top 5% students class wise qualifying for the second level, to be held on 8th February 2026 for Rest of India & For Maharashtra State 2nd level exam will be held on 15th February 2026.
In addition to the above criterion, students also qualify for the second level Olympiads based on achievement in either of following criteria:
- Class toppers, where at least 10 students from a class appeared in the SOF IMO and score 50% or more marks
- Top 25 rank holders, class wise, from each Zone.
- For classes 1 and 2, SOF IMO is a single level exam.
