NATIONAL SCIENCE OLYMPIAD (NSO)

The National Science Olympiad (SOF NSO) is an annual academic competition organized by SOF for students in classes 1-12 to assess their knowledge and skills in scientific reasoning and logical ability. The curriculum of the SOF Olympiad is designed to provide young students with a platform to identify and nurture their academic talents in the field of science, preparing them for the competitive world from an early age. National Science Olympiad (NSO) Exam Pattern & Syllabus:

SOF National Science Olympiad (NSO) is a prestigious competition that challenges students to showcase their knowledge and skills in various areas of science and reasoning. The exam pattern typically consists of multiple-choice questions, and problem-solving tasks that assess a student's understanding of science and its applications. The syllabus for NSO level 1 and level 2 covers a wide range of topics, including but not limited to metal & non-metals, carbon and its compounds, reproduction, Electricity, Magnetic effects, Control and coordination. National Science Olympiad (NSO) Eligibility Criteria Level 1:

Students from classes 1 - 12, enrolled in a school recognized by SOF are eligible for National Science Olympiad (NSO). Students from particular classes can appear for that class’s Olympiad only. Other than this there are no eligibility criteria.

National Science Olympiad (NSO) Eligibility Criteria Level 2:

Only students from classes 3-12 are eligible to take part in the level 2 exam of NSO. There is no level 2 exam for the students of classes 1 and 2. Class-wise top 5% of the participating students in the level 1 exam are selected for the level 2 exam.

How To Participate in the National Science Olympiad (NSO)

Students should apply and submit the form for the SOF National Science Olympiad (NSO) at least 30 days before the exam date.

Students cannot submit their applications individually. Applications will only be submitted via the schools.

National Science Olympiad (NSO) Exam Dates

SOF National Science Olympiad (NSO) Level-1 dates are out now. Date 1 of SOF NSO Level-1 is 18^th October 2024, Date 2 is 12^th November 2024, and Date 3 is 3^rd December 2024.

National Science Olympiad (NSO) Awards/ Scholarships/ Recognition:

In the upcoming academic year 2024-25, winners of the SOF National Science Olympiad (NSO) will be presented with a range of NSO awards and scholarships. These include international, zonal, and school topper awards for classes 1 to 12. The top three international rank holders will receive cash awards, medals, and certificates, while zonal and school-level winners will also be recognized. Schools and educators are also acknowledged for their contribution to students' success, with awards and scholarships at international, zonal, and district levels. Appreciation certificates and gifts are also extended to principals and teachers for their dedication and efforts.
