SOF-TECHFEST, IIT BOMBAY- INNOVATION CHALLENGE 2023-24
Science Olympiad Foundation and Techfest, IIT Bombay are pleased to announce "SOF - Techfest Innovation Challenge” 2023-24. Techfest is Asia’s largest Annual Science and Technology Festival of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
With the sole motto of nurturing young talent and promoting innovative thinking among school students, Techfest is conducting Innovation Challenge in association with Science Olympiad Foundation for school students across the globe. It is a platform for young visionaries and problem solvers to showcase their creativity, ingenuity, and technical prowess.
Students studying in classes 8th, 9th and 10th can appear in Innovation Challenge provided they have registered for SOF National Science Olympiad 2023-24.
No separate registration fee is to be paid nor separate registration required to participate in the Innovation Challenge.
About the Innovation Challenge
Round One
There will be a Special Question Section on Innovation Challenge in the SOF NSO Examination (in the question papers for classes 8, 9 and 10) to be held on 17th October, 21st November and 5th December 2023. Students, who wish to participate in the Innovation Challenge, would be required to answer the question by sending an e-mail to ic.iitbombay@sofworld.org as per the following schedule. Please do not forget to write your name, your SOF roll no. and mobile no. while sending the e-mail.

AWARDS
- Each participant will be awarded a Certificate of Participation from SOF & Techfest, IIT Bombay.
- Top 20 ranking students will be invited to the finals of Techfest 2023 at Bombay with an accompanying adult from 27-29th December 2023 with travel reimbursement and accommodation provided by Techfest, IIT Bombay.
- Winners will be awarded trophies, gifts, Merit Certificates, and a visit to ISRO’s Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruvananthapuram with all expenses reimbursed. Other awards are under finalization.
Sample Problem Statement:
Address the challenges and need for a Sustainable Water Supply System for rural areas encompassing agricultural and residential demands, and give solutions with innovative and ingenious ideas.
