SOF HALL OF FAME – SOUHARDYA DE
We welcome Souhardya De, a class 10 student at Vidyasagar Shishu Niketan Midnapore, W Bengal to SOF Hall of Fame.
Souhardya is a writing enthusiast and is keen in Indian mythology and authored his first book,Scion of Suryavansh, in 2017, published by Createspace, USA. He authored his second book, The Chronicles of Suryavansh in 2019 and an ebook A Piece, A Minute! by Juggernaut. Souhardya was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Asiatic Society of London,the highest honour in South Asian Humanities for his interest in Indian mythology and socio-economic and cultural happenings. He has been awarded with The India Book of Records for having authored the first drama book on Ramayana, in English and French. Souhardya was selected as a Coordinator at The Statesman where he is a frequent contributor writing on historical, cultural and social articles, including book and movie reviews. He is also a contributor at various national and international newspapers, having authored more than twenty five articles at Thrive Global, USA, The Citizen, TOI Online, Youth ki Awaaz and others. He was awarded the Sahitya Aloke Samman by Nabyashrote in 2019 for his contribution to writing. He made it to the SOF Hall of Fame for his exemplary contributions. Souhardya is also an innovator, having a project on Environmental issues to his name under the top 100 at ATL Marathon, NITI Aayog and under top 36 at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2018. Since childhood, he has stood out in various Olympiads and examinations, winning national and zonal accolades. Souhardya continues to write articles and is on the way to publish his fourth book which is a collection of poems, authored by him. He aims to invigorate the classical Indian mythology and culture and heritage through his works, articles and books.
His International Achievements include:
1.Elected as a Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland, 2019, highest honour in South Asian Humanities for Excellent Contributions to revivalism of Indian Art and Culture.
